From a total of 16,280 applications--the largest pool on seven years--Virginia offered admission to 4,876 students who applied as part of the University's regular admission program (953 students were admitted early-decision).Of those vying for the roughtly 3,100 spots in the Class of 2010, 42.2 percent of in-state applicants and 31.6 of out-of-state applicants were admitted.

INDIA DAY
U.Va.'s di Shaan dance team performs a style of dance known as Bhangra, a north Indian folk dance from the state of Punjab. The performance was part of India Day--a celebration of South Asian culture and traditions--hosted by the Indian Student Association.
